Maintaining a negative emotion state following an altercation does nothing to either resolve the issue or harm the other person-the latter being something we shouldn’t particularly want, however. It, instead, harms only our mental health, and prevents us from moving forward to the things we want.

I Didn’t Start The Fire

It’s so easy to respond to a flame with another harshly worded-and impeccably crafted-letter of scorn, most especially when you’ve just read said flame. Take some time away from a negative environment before choosing your response, as words written and delivered in the heat of the moment often do little to solve anything.

If it makes you feel better, however, you can write the letter and hold off on sending it. Many times the simple act of releasing your aggression into the written word can do wonders towards reaching a positive mental outlook, letting the higher self come to grips with how to solve the equivocation between parties.

Save It Don’t Spray It

Your energy is finite, your time equally so, choosing to waste that precious time and energy on a battle of egos should hardly be on your bucket list. Pick your battles, not just amongst those that you could win, but amongst those that could gain you truly if you do.
